Guitarist ROLF MUNKES To Join Ex-BLACK SABBATH Singer TONY MARTIN On Russian Tour
October 12, 2006German guitarist Rolf Munkes (RAZORBACK, ex-MAJESTY, VANIZE) will join former BLACK SABBATH singer Tony Martin for three shows in Russia next month. The dates are as follows:
Nov. 07 – Moscow, RUS - Kremlin Palace
Nov. 09 - St. Petersburg, RUS - New Ice-Hall
Nov. 11 - Moscow, RUS - Luzhniki Arena
Munkes and Martin are collaborators in Rolf's EMPIRE project, which released its third album, "Raven Ride", in May via AOR Heaven Records. The follow-up to 2003's "Trading Souls" (Lion Music) features additional guest appearances by drummer Andre Hilgers (AXXIS, SILENT FORCE, RAZORBACK) and bassist Neil Murray (WHITESNAKE, BLACK SABBATH, M3). Martin and Murray previously appeared on "Trading Souls", which featured additional contributions from DEEP PURPLE keyboardist Don Airey and current HAMMERFALL/ex-YNGWIE MALMSTEEN drummer Anders Johansson.
Martin released his second solo album, "Scream", last November 18 via MTM Music. The CD features legendary drummer Cozy Powell (BLACK SABBATH, RAINBOW, WHITESNAKE) on "Raising Hell" as well as songwriting contributions by another SABBATH member, Geoff Nicholls.
